Just re-read this after nearly 30 years and it really holds up. Houston's voice is so genuine. At once the tough hunting guide and the vulnerable girl with a mad cowboy crush. These stories are gut-wrenching, jaw dropping, and laugh out loud funny. Highly recommended.

A very light and fun read for me personally, the discription of the book fits the contents well.
I enjoyed picking it up to read a story or two whenever I felt like it, and I will surely do so again in the future.
The stories in this book felt somehow familiar and predictable, therefore, comfortable to read.
