those greek gods really played too much on odysseus's family
i actually enjoyes this so much more than i expected. classics somehow come off a little intimidating to me, but this book definitely nothing near that, except the fact that it's been so long since i consume something related to greek mythology, so i had to adapt a little again. nonetheless, this was a very entertaining book. although sometimes i got bored when odysseus become a storyteller mid chapters, but other than that i don't think i have an issue. the translation also feels straightforward and conversational, which i think that is why this book managed to keep me entertained, despite it's labeled as a 'classic'. i'd love to read the other translations.

A beautiful lyrical verse translation of the Odyssey. A bit repetitive at times because of its history in oral storytelling. Most of the details of the "big" events are actually in different poem!
