4.5/5 stars... I loved this entire series! I really loved Asa and Royal. I think the only thing I don't love is when they talk too much sometimes. Maybe I haven't been in love enough to know what these moments are supposed to be like. I liked that there was adversity, but no one was in any real danger in this one. I'm bummed this series is over, but I'm glad the world isn't ending here.

You don't expect anything but perfection from Jay Crownover and her Marked Men, and Asa doesn't disappoint.  Early on in this series, Asa was the character that you wanted to like but he always did something to screw it up.  He kept getting in my "I can't decide if I like you or not" category.

Over the series, he redeemed himself in small ways but in this book, he really stepped up.  He knew how to help Royal and was able to give her exactly what she needed. He didn't want her to end up in the dark places he has been or currently still inhabitated.  It was fantastic to see Asa realize that he could actually do positive and redeeming acts in his life for a selfless reason.  Because his past was full of selfish, destructive actions, he has a hard time believing he deserves any kind of happiness.

In comes Royal...she is exactly what Asa needs too.  She wants him to see that he is worthy of love and happiness.  She doesn't run away from his stories of past bad behavior and constantly reminds him to live in the present.  She is a perfect match for Asa but he doesn't want to believe it.

The bumps and bruises these two endure to get their HEA are heartbreaking but I expect no less from Jay.  She sucks us in and keeps us their even after the last page.  I am sad to see the Marked Men series coming to an end but so excited for Saints of Denver.  She skillfully weaves these new characters into the back story of Asa which leaves us wanting more.

This was definitely a good ending to the series

Asa and Royal's story really hit me! They seemed so unlikely as a couple, while, in fact, they were like missing pieces of the same puzzle, finally making the image beautiful and complete.

Ugh I really liked these characters in past books and loved learning they would get together. I just felt this book was a little flat. I also could have had at least 1 couple not want kids. Idk it bugs me when like that becomes the ultimate expression of permanence. Overall I liked reading this series even though I read it on and off. Typos were much better in this one I will say.

Asa really did have a way with words....the last few lines were my favorite:
"We all had marks, some physical, some emotional, some that would never leave us, and many of those marks were of our own making as we all tried to get to the place we were supposed to be. Our marks defined us, separated us, and made us the men we were today. One fact that none of us up here on this altar could dispute was that the most important mark, the most lasting marks we would all carry with us, came from falling in love with the remarkable women that stood across from us.

We were marked and had been marked in unforgettable and forever ways. We were all better men for it. Marked men. None of us would have it any other way."

5+ stars

Uhmm what??? Why am I such a mess right now? I can't stop crying and I'm not a crier...I've only sobbed in one book, [b:The Shadows|21849362|The Shadows (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #13)|J.R. Ward|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1404479585s/21849362.jpg|41120683] But those were helpless depressing tears.. Jay Crownover managed to get tears of joy and happiness out of me for this Marked men. I was so proud of where these boys got to. I still remember how broken each and everyone of them were in the first one and WOW, the growth that happened astounds me. I know they are book characters and I'm talking about them like they are real but for me, they are real while I'm reading. Even now, the Marked Men would always hold a special part in my heart. The writing is that good that it will stay with me for a long time to come.

We were marked and had been marked in unforgettable and forever ways. We were all better men for it. Marked men. None of us would have it any other way.

I couldn't have asked for a better send off than Asa. Asa's growth as a person was a beauty to read. His struggles stopped him from living his life until Royal came in and eroded some of the heavy rock that was weighing him down
Spoiler until he found a way to be set free. One thing I really didn't like was that Royal never found out how much of a whore her momma was and how bad she was. I get that she kind of got the gist of it and didn't want to know the entirety of it but I still think her mom should of owned up to her wretchedness and tell Royal the truth. But, it didn't really hinder my reading experiences too much.

I loved seeing our favourite men and women moving on with their life, each in different stages. I'm so happy they each found their own piece of heaven and their lives keep getting better and better! I look forward to seeing a bit of them in the Saints of Denver series!

Es más bien un 1,5.
Entretenido pero no fue la gran cosa, demasiadoooo predecible y demasiadaaas escenas de sexo innecesarias (me salte literalmente como 50 paginas)

3.5*. I'd been procrastinating about reading this book for a long time. Asa had all sorts of negative associations with him. an H he was not. I would've easily, possibly, have skipped reading it if it had been mid series but I'm a completer, and I needed that self satisfaction hit I get when I finish something. Anyway, that's for the therapy to take care of. The book was always going to attempt redemption, what surprised me was how I bought into it, how it was believable. That's quite a trick to pull off, because generally once authors go down one route with a character its difficult to pull back and take it down a different track AND take the reader with you. That aside, the MC's had great chemistry. I knocked off a few points for the noble idiocy and the 'let me have this one secret' at the end. It's supposed to be the last one in the series but new characters kept popping up so you know its not really, that's just marketing.
