This wasn’t my favourite of the three as the resolution for Eve was a bit sudden, but I still enjoyed it. As with the previous books in the series you are taken on a rollercoaster of a ride with all the favourite characters from the previous books.  Lemon Fresh remained my favourite person in the series and I’m glad she got to grow as the series progressed.

What an ending to an almost perfect trilogy!

I really didn't want this book to end and I'm still not quite ready to let these characters go. If I had to nitpick about anything, it would be
SpoilerEve's arc in this book. I hate that she spent 90% of this book being like 'we're superior to humans, they should all die, I hate Lemon and I'm mad because Zeke loves Ana and not me, blah blah blah', then at the very last second she changes her mind?? The very last second. I think it happens at like 95% of the way through the book and I completely believed she was irredeemable and she would be killed. I wish we saw more of her inner struggle and got more of a hint that she would change sides
.

But despite that I thought that Lemon was a great character as always, and I loved that
Spoilershe embraced the whole main character identity and was like 'I'm not gonna be the side character or comedy relief anymore, I'm taking control of my own destiny' and I was like yaaaaaaasss bitch
. She may be my favourite character in this whole series.

Now, if Mr Kristoff would like to write a companion series or even just a single book set in this world, I wouldn't complain. In fact, I'm heavily begging him to do so. Please give us what we want/deserve!!

Soooo Gabriel is REALLY bat-shit crazy

****SPOILERS****

Faith is in love with bat-shit crazy even though he doesn't love her back. Ezekiel is still the best of them. Eve is finding her footing. Abraham's mother is redeemable along with a good portion of the Brotherhood (that was a surprise). The deviates are a crazy bunch but family. And war is on the horizon . . . Nothing but excitement in this series finally.

Great book. Great end to the trilogy.

Fun all the way and it kept me reading. What more can I say?

3.5/5 It was a decent ending to the trilogy. I am not a fan of the ending that Eve got, I really wanted to watch her burn and I think that her ending was more than what she deserved. I am happy for Lemon though. Watching her rise from side-kick to main character was satisfying and very deserved for her. The final battle was also done very well. It wasn't rushed, it was paced very well. I still don't necessarily think I clicked too well with the series overall, but I don't crave the hours I spent reading it back. If you've made it this far, it's definitely worth the read to finish out the series.

I love Jay Kristoff. I love all his work. This series was amazing
