I love Jay Kristoff. I love all his work. This series was amazing
I've really liked this series ... I can't honestly say 5 star read ***** SO wonderful, but I really enjoyed it, and this wrapped up the series and kept my interest. I had to add how many pages this had (little pet peeve of mine when pages aren't listed here on GR) and was surprised to see it was almost 500. Didn't feel like it. Sped right by.
I happened to be browsing my library's new additions when I saw this ... and it was available. I was in the middle of another book but hey, I quit that one (I'll go back to it) and started this up. It had been a while since I'd read the first two and I was a bit worried about remembering everything that had happened. BUT YEA ... the author provided a quick rundown of all the characters and happenings! Thank you! If I'd been reading the books back to back, I would have skipped or skimmed, but personally? I was so grateful for the recap.
I went with audio again (as I did on the first two). Great narrator! Just perfect diction and pronunciation and clarity. Great voices, consistency! And I liked all the voices too (sometimes it can be a good narrator but the way a voice is styled might drive me crazy).
This series is a little unique ... certainly set up as Eve & Ezekial being the MCs, but it's really Lemon Fresh, at least I think so. Lemon Fresh is important ;) LOVE the tone of the book, and the world, and the words (fizzy, true cert, sprogs, etc).
A couple f-bombs in this final edition (swear jar!)

Another winner from Kristoff, and a thrilling finale to the Lifelike series. I'm never going to rate a Kristoff book badly, because he just doesn't seem capable of writing bad books. I loved the focus on Lemon - who is my favourite character - and that Cricket breaks the mould and gets his happy ending (well, sort of).
I did feel that the ending was a bit rushed, however, and that things wrapped up a bit too neatly. I mean, Evie commits mass murder? And the whole other cast of characters talks about how changed she is, and how there's no possible way things can get back to how they were before - and then things just do. While I'm glad she got her happy ending - and Ezekiel too, I loved him - I thought it was all a bit neat. I wish Evie had done a little more work before things came together, but I loved that it ended with her and Lemon reconciling. They both deserved it.

This was still really fun and action packed, but definitely my least favorite of the trilogy. This one was wayyy more action than fun world building and character moments, which the other two had a lot more of. I also just loved Abraham and Cricket in the second book and was really missing that. This was still fun though! I’m glad I finished out the trilogy. :)

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing a copy for review.
This was a very fitting ending to the series, and possibly one of Jay Kristoff's more happier endings?? This one picks up right where we left (most) of the ragtag group. I won't go into details, cuz spoilers if you haven't read book 2 yet. Truel1f3 really feels more focused on Lemon and Ezekiel a bit more than the others, but I really enjoyed the character development for Lemon. She's still rough around the edges, but she had more depth in this one. I think watching the AI's Cricket and Solomon go through moral dilemma's was the most interesting part. You almost forget they're robots at times. Gabriel hits peak crazy in this one, but low-key...I kinda feel bad for all of them. Just so many lost kids here. There was a decent balance to action and plot. There was really only one issue I had with this ending, and that is Eve. I get that she's going through this whole loss of identity thing, and kind of pulls a 180 in book 2. She's still in that frame of mind for pretty much this whole book, and then the ending comes and it just felt rushed and a little too nicely wrapped up. Now maybe I just think this because I'm used to the way he ends his adult series?? I don't know I feel like changes were too quick with nothing to really back them up, it just sort of happens. Overall though I really liked this and felt like it was another solid series.

Honestly kicking myself for not reading this sooner.

Oh this was a let down. It was such an obvious ending and I was pretty bored for most of the book. I enjoyed the second book the most but in the end this series just wasnt for me.
