I was very excited to read Apples story. Turns out to be a great one! No disappointment here

Another fantastic book from this author. I loved the usual drama, and what Kit did to Jake, is just superb. Apple and Kit were good for each other, and they were the ultimate odd couple. A thrill a minute, as per this author's style. Also love her brother. Can'y wait for the next one.

Um... the blurb said that she died... now, I get that there can be all sorts of dying... buuuttt... makes it a little confusing for a potential reader.

I thought this was an OK read. It felt very much like not too much happened. For me, apart from Appple & Kitt's own problems... the biggest plot point should've been the one that was barely given any black ink. For me, that would've been way more interesting... cos, I thought that it was being set up as the main plot from way early on. It wasn't.

I really didn't see the point of Mary... or was that literally a Mary-Sue? Cos, honestly... sighs.

Again, as it seems to me, another tale in which we have an awful seemingly going to happen and then not too much. And, yep, we have the trademark time jumps. I honestly do think that they are used to get out of a corner that has been painted into and the author isn't sure how to get out of. It is something that is recurring in virtually everything that I have read of LLV's...

Ah well. Not a really bad read for me.

13/07/21 Yep - exactly the same thoughts as before...

I do not think Lani Lynn Veil has ever published a bad book, and this one is no exception to the rule. This books grabs you from the start and keeps you going till the end. Kitt was a great character, she is just an everyday normal girl but she has a health issue. Her brother is a bit smothering trying to take care of her, and she has started to feel helpless. As much as she loves her brother, she just wants to live a normal life. In comes Apple, a prospect with her brothers MC and Kitt grabs a chance to have at least one night of normal with him. Apple was also a great character, his strong PTSD and depression and ghost from his past, was dealt with very well in this book. Kitt and Apple have a lot of ups and downs and many things get in their way but they both come out the other side stronger for it.
