This one felt dark, but as always Singh does make it great in every way.

First we have Memory, a psy who has been kept prisoner most of her life. She thinks of herself as a victim, and one with dark horrible psy powers. But she is strong and a survivor.

Aleksei has demons of his ones. His brother went rogue, his dad went rogue, will he go rogue? And then he hears the cries of a psy and goes to investigate.

He challenges her, she pushes back. They are both what the other one needs. And they take their time, considering, and it feels so right.

Then there is the darkness, the serial killer who has kept her prisoner and wants her back.

Though there is another plot too, a hidden darkness in the psy world. And when the serial killer story ends there was still almost 2 hours left, which felt strange. The other issues was then resolved too. I guess they had to be there at once so it might expand into the next book or something.

The psynet is failing and I do wonder how the will fix it...which means...I can't wait for more!

Great book, as alays! singh does not disappoint

Narrator
I'd say Dawe's women have very throaty voices, very dark. Not all, but at least the main. But it fits. SHe has a great range and everyone feels distinct. Her female and male voices are great and she brings emotion and need into the story.

She is great to listen at and she brings the story to life. Now when I think of those books I missed, I'd say I would rather listen to those than read

It is a 3.5 for me.

In the beginning the story moved very slow. One of the things I actually don’t like is a mini description of every character that turned up. Please I know them very well already! Give me new information about my favourite characters!

Even with a 3.5 for this one, I am waiting for the next installment of the series. I really hope Lucas, Sascha, Kaleb and Sahara get more page time.

Still a great series but this just wasn't one of my favourites. Nothing wrong with the main characters I just found the story a little flat and the "bad guy" just not that threatening. However there are new challenges facing the Trinity Accord and we finally get some insight into Pax Marshall who has been a bit player in earlier books. And at the end there is the promise of much more chaos to come (rubs hands together gleefully).

The world building is superb. The romance between the MCs feels organic, not forced. The overlying story arc of the failing Psy-net is compelling.

There are so many intricate details and even after 18 books, the story is kept fresh and new adversaries develop.

I love how we get different POVs from important characters. It's never jarring to switch POVs either, which is the sign of a well seasoned and accomplished author.

The family aspect of the pack and newly Silentless Psy gets to me!

I really could go more into the actual characters but I don't want to ruin anything. It's definitely a must read and while I'm and avid read in order person, you can definitely read this alone. But be ready tobwant sll the other books

This is definitely a series I will always keep up with.

I did enjoy this book, but it also felt like I'd seen most the plot lines before, memory's backstory felt somewhat similar to sahara's backstory.

I don't know, I did enjoy it, but it didn't feel that unique as a book

One of the issues I have had with Trinity, as opposed to the other Psy Changling books, is that sometimes they tend to incorporate too many of our favourite characters. I like the fact that Singh is attempting to make her world more fully rounded, but at times it can be distracting from the plot of the individual story.
Wolf Rain, I feel, is a little more of a call back to the earlier stories in this series. In that, it focuses on the individual's or couple's story more-so than it tries to show us what is going on with characters previously developed in their own books. Don't get me wrong, there's still plenty of cameos and peeks into the lives of Mercy, Hawke, Sascha, and the whole dang gang (which is fun and cute), but these moments of interactions and catch up with our previously beloved are not a main focus. They are just some added sugar to the mix.
Instead, we have a story about Alexei and Memory. These characters are a delight, and this story is a delight. It is a little more light-hearted than previous additions to the Psy Changling series, but it is in no way frivolous. As per the course with any Singh book, I find, there's still a very genuine look into aspects of trauma and strength, and development of strength.
I also very much enjoyed the twist on "villainy," in Wolf Rain. However, I'll refrain from detailing how and why, due to spoilers. Needless to say I was surprised by the end.

Awesome

It is always interesting to see what characters Nalini Singh introduces and then pairs up! I can’t wait to see what happens next!!

4.5 stars.

Loved being back with the Snowdancer pack again. Seeing Hawk, Sienna, Judd, and Breanna again is always an amazing treat. Plus we also got a decent amount of Kaleb!

Memory is now in the group of my favorite female characters of the series, definitely loved the moments when she didn't back down from Alexei when he was getting alpha. And I loved that she loved how touchy feel-y he was with her. She needed touch after being isolated for so long and Alexei was able to give that to her and wanted to give that to her.

Alexei, loved him too. There were moments where while he wanted to be near Memory he also wanted her to have her own space and her own things because she hadn't had that option when in captivity. My heart broke for him with his family and his fear of turning rogue. And I really enjoyed Memory being there for him just like he was there for her.

The Empath plot in this book was so great, I was on the edge of my seat.
SpoilerThe Arrows shooting themselves instead of doing what the psychic force wanted them to do, showed so much strength but that is going to mess them up for a while.

My only complaint (and it's very minor) was that I wanted more romance moments between Memory and Alexei, the romance was wonderful but if there had been a little more this would have been a full 5 stars.

Great installment to this series.
