An entertaining and unpredictable read. I can't say it quite delivers on its premise, but it does some very interesting things narratively nonetheless. I kept expecting for a "big reveal" moment, but instead most of the big plot beats were revealed piece by piece or in relatively unextravagant ways; however, for the most part this was a strength, rather than a weakness of the book.

Imagine an even more f*cked up version of umbrella academy and multiply that by a trillion.

This book has ALL the trigger warnings. But the story is so insane it’s mind blowing.

You have a bunch of kidnapped children turned into godly librarians under the control of a terrifying Father. Until one day, one child gets their revenge.

I need to read a kids magazine about kittens to bleach my brain after this.
