I feel like every review I type up for the books in this series is going to basically be the same: I love the world, I love the characters, the books are fun and quick/easy to read and I just... love them. They might be flawed in their own ways here and there, but I always enjoy myself whenever I'm reading them tbh. Perfect books to read in-between studying for exams and handing in those final assignments imo.

Dark Days is essentially an interlude book that initialises multiple plot points for the later events in following sequels, one that is crafted so fantastically well with a devious plot in itself.
