This book is everything! I was shaking with murderous rage for so many pages of this book. The schools failure to not only protect and student from bullying but twice have the audacity to blame the student for actions that were not theirs!!!! I agree a little with obviously reach any person to not ever put yourself in that position BUT they are never the person that should be punished. And this mentality that if a girl is sexually active she is a slut, if a guy does it he is a hero needs to change!!! Why do guys not get slut shamed? Because girls don't do that kind of bullying to that level, yet guys seem to be ready to tear people down to make themselves look good, or to fill in their time because they have nothing better to do.
I remember high school, anyone claiming this story to be far fetched was lucky they never witnessed or was bullied themselves, this ubfortuabtly is a very accurate portrait of what can happen if its not stopped!
What I love about this book is how it uses 2 different time periods to show that lack of education still shows men to lead the order on punishing women, whether its for witchcraft or in a high school setting it does show that over the years we have progressed but no enough.
