The book and concept are great. defijitely trials and games. However, I couldnt get over the few grammatical errors in the book, which is why I rated it 3 stars. The story itself i did enjoy so Im moving on to book 2, hoping we have less grammatical errors.

This book had modern fantasy elements with a FMC that had a heavy part she used to shape her and not influence her. I enjoyed the world building and character development that happened throughout the story. The power balance between gods and mortals was refreshing in a that the book didn’t seem to drag or confuse you.
This was a great read and I can’t wait to se what’s next for the author!

Rated a 4.5 for me -
Thank you so much for my advance reader copy and I wasn’t too sure what to expect - however it had fourth wing/ hunger games vibes and I’m all for it!
I became so invested and loved the trials and quickly became so invested in these characters.
It touches into Greek myth and I especially loved the beginning of the chapters walking us through how the gods became the gods!
I was in such a fourth wing hangover and this has helped pull me out of it!
Some of the common spoken language was hard to relate to as it’s not language I would use or know of people using! Which is the only reason this book didn’t score a 5/5.
A fully immersible fantasy world and escapism at its best!
“The way words on a page can transport us to different worlds and realities” - A direct quote from the book and it did just that!

Looooooved this whole series but my god…. The typos. So many typos. I picked it up before our trip to Greece because of the Greek mythology basis and I finished it on the way to Delos (birthplace of Artemis and Apollo) so that was fun!
