This was one of those books that had some good and some bad. But here’s the thing … If you can’t find yourself, namely me, remembering the characters when the book is done, then I think it just wasn’t the kind of story that had enough to keep me entertained.

I’m trying to find something else to say and am struggling. The characters were flat, the plot seemed typical, and the ending was predictable.

And that’s all!

I really like Alicia Thompson’s writing and I’m glad I read her other books first because I think she’s developed as an author. But this book did not do it for me. I just wanted the FMC to go to therapy. The MMC did not have a lot of depth, but also I wanted better for him. His entire personality was loving the FMC and honestly, it was unclear why he loved her or what he loved about her.
