Absolutely terrible, but it's entertaining.

I will say, though, that it doesn't take a lot to see a colonial reading in the world-building.

This new world Jaymin has created had me completely enthralled. I love when we get to learn the world through the main character as they learn it too. Morgan was so funny with her reactions and inner monologue. The story starts with Morgan at her job at the library, we learn she is a fellow book dragon (lol perfect word choice iykyk). One night she gets a mysterious call from the owner of the library who tells her a book is missing which is unacceptable and despite being very drunk, Morgan decides she needs to investigate. This leads to a mysterious reveal of the library and a world within. Morgan is now stuck in a completely new world (literally) with a gorgeous but rude at times Drager (owner of the library and fallen far God). As we go through the story, we get to see the world through Morgan’s eyes as she navigates it and tries to stay alive (which proves difficult). Drager and Morgan build a bond while she helps him with his missing book situation. And building that bond is pretty steamy! Enter Drager’s brothers and we have some whole new drama. We now have Zahak (one of the brothers) giving some serious touch her and die energy and even sending his sabre to be her bodyguard. I really want my own sabre, I loved Astra and the bond her and Morgan built. I know she technically isn’t a pet but…Anyway., then we have that cliffhanger ending!! OMG I can’t wait to see where this story takes us, especially in terms of love interests! I am looking forward to answers on just how Morgan fits into this world so easily and with Drager and Zahak.

I’m so excited for the completion of this duet and to beg Jaymin to continue with the other fallen gods because I love this world so much already and 2 book just isn’t enough.
