2,5e ster. Deze vond ik helaas nog al tegenvallen. Helemaal vergeleken met 'De heks van Duva' die ik echt fantastisch vond.

This short story is a nice addition to the grisha verse and i can imagine it being told to the young children of Ravka as a cautionary tale. It's a quick and easy read and i recommend that anyone who enjoys Leigh Bardugo's writing pick this up.

Another wonderful dark fairytale by Bardugo!
Her work reads like a grittier version on Grimm's fairytales (and we all know that they had their dark moments too).
This was a clever idea beautifully executed (as always).
I cannot wait to read The Language of Thorns!!!

“But as you leave that dark gap in the trees behind, remember that to use a thing is not to own it. And should you ever take a bride, listen closely to her questions. In them you may hear her true name like the thunder of a lost river, like the sighing of the sea.”

Very short story from the Grisha world. The audiobook was pretty good and I loved the fairytale vibe of the story.
