This book had me hooked from the start. Hidden identities, found family, enemies to lovers (Fated) - a little bit of spice and lots of magic.

I found all the main characters lovable, each having a unique personality. Hale is our morally grey MMC who, underneath his exterior, is a kind and loving character. Remy thinks she’s a nobody but is reminded of how strong she really is.

Some was a little cheesy/cliche for me, but I am invested in this story and these characters. Love the diversity!

I really enjoyed this book, it had really good queer rep in which made me very happy! It does have spice but as a fanfic reader (lol) I wouldn't say it is very much. I know some have said the relationship is a little insta lovey, but when you discover why later on it makes more sense. Until right near the end this was a 3.5 star read for me, but the found family trope and other things changed it to a tentative 4 star read! I want the next one!
