If you turned this book into a drinking game and drank every time it said “red witch” or “fated” it might become more enjoyable.
Remy has been on the run for 13 years. Why? Because she is a red witch from the High Mountain Court, these witches are hunted by the Northern Court who seek to claim all courts as their kingdom. A Prince from the Eastern Court seeks to destroy these plans with the help of Remy and his inner circle of friends. But the prince is not the only one with a secret.

This book had a wonderful concept but unfortunately for me it's in 3rd person pov.
Now I know some can get into that but for me, its difficult to immerse myself in the story while in this perspective. From what I got through the spice was probably a 3/5 and the plot was very interesting and I really wish this was in a 1st person pov because it would've made the story sooo much better.
But if you're into and are able to get through reading 3rd person POV then please enjoy this for me.

I'm really surprised at the high rating for this book. The characters are ok - overall I liked them, but some things were annoying, like insta love, and the fated mate trope. The plot was interesting but struggled a bit in pacing. The writing is mediocre at best. The amount of repetition of thoughts and information - even within one paragraph - was endless. It was also a lot of telling rather than showing. Additionally, there were things that reminded me of other books, and after looking at other reviews, I'm not wrong. The ending was decently exciting if not very emotionally compelling. Not sure I'll read the next book, despite my love of a series.
More like a 3.5-4.
The book was fun, but it almost felt like there was never enough depth to the story. Like over all it was interesting, but I feel like we never quite got enough detail. I almost wish it had been split into two books so the relationships had time to develop instead of speeding along.
Over a nice quick read though! Definitely recommend of you’re looking for a quick bit of fantasy!

This book was a quick and easy read, but the writing itself just didn’t seem up to par. It was entertaining and I loved the plot and premise of the book but I felt like work needs to be done on the dialog and writing. There is a second book but it kind of seems like it could be a standalone. Not sure if second book may be worth reading.
