Sleepless in Manhattan was definitely a cute book. There was just something about Paige and Jake that put a smile on my face. Even if Paige could be annoying at times and if Jake was really hesitant about things. They were still pretty cute and all kinds of adorable.

Besides them, I really enjoyed getting to know Eva and Frankie - the best friends of Paige. They were equally hilarious and complete opposites of one another. Definitely two people you want to be friends with in my opinion. Paige is definitely winning in the best friends department.

In the end, the ending was actually a really nice surprise. I wasn't expecting it to happen in book 1.. maybe book 2? So I definitely enjoyed that little engagement. I'm intrigued enough to see if I can get my hands on the next book just to get more cuteness. Especially since we get to dive into Frankie's little love life and I'm seriously freaking out because I want her and Matt to be together.

Set in my favourite city: check. Heaps of romance: check. A storyline that kept me hooked: check. A group of women who were determined to get back on top and end up starting their own business: check. I loved this book, if you can't already tell. The three girls are all different yet all so relatable and I had a connection with each of them for various reasons. I wanted to read some books set in New York before I went back for my honeymoon and this is one of them. I then continued on with the series which for me just got better and better.

The first full book in the series, but the second story from this "world", but it is based on a different character than the first book. Paige Walker makes a brief appearance in the novella in the first book and she is the focus of this book. She thinks she is headed for a promotion and instead her and her two friends are laid off from an event planning company - where she actually loved her job, maybe not her boss, but at least the job. After a moment to breath and take in the news, she decides to open her own company and with the help of her friends, her brother and a long time crush business is open and love may be in the air!

Like all romance books, this one can be predicted from page one and as I have said before that is just fine with me! I don't mind that I knew where we would end up at the end, but the journey is always fun and enjoyable.

A fast, flirty, fun read - a great "chick lit" option right on the verge of summer.

Paige spent her early years in and out of hospitals so after she was given the all clear on her health she was ready to get out in the world and really live. A chance to work as an event coordinator for a reputable New York firm is her dream, until she's fired. Taking a chance opening her own firm with her best friends Paige is ready for almost any challenge sent her way, except for working close to Jake. Her brother's best friend had been in her life for years and she's been in love for years but Jake has never shown any interest in her or a long term relationship with any woman. When one night of passion turns in to more Paige attempts to protect her heart but she knows that Jake is the one man for her. Can she convince him that taking a chance with his heart is the way to happiness? Great read with fun, feisty characters. Loving the set up for future books in the series!

dnf @ 24%. man I tried, I really did, but Jesus god I do not care about any of these characters. They all feel so kiddy to me and some of the scenes just went on and on and on and on. I couldn’t do it

Great read. Only took me two days. I love the story line and how sweet it is. Though, slightly predictable at times it didn't enjoy it any less. Would definitely recommend to my other 19-25 year old range readers. Def message me if you have any questions. I would absolutely read the rest in the series, but I will wait become this book it freshly finished and the sequel features the same characters, but with a main character shift.

An high 3 star read. Not enough for 3.5 stars but I enjoyed it nevertheless. An easy and cutesy read that was a good company, interesting enough plot to keep being interested in picking it back up. Will most likely read at least the next book in the series. Btw isn't there a romance movie with this same title? Is it based on this book? Does anyone know?

Sarah Morgan is a new author to me even though she has written many books! I have quickly come to love her stories and found Sleepless in Manhattan to be no exception. Paige is living the life she has dreamed about with two of her best friends and her brother in Manhattan. When she loses her job she needs to learn how to take risks in order to fulfill her dream of having her own business. When it comes to her brother’s best friend, the very sexy Jake, she learns she has to take another risk.

Jake distrusts love and he never spends more than a night or two with a woman. However there has always been something about Paige that he cannot forget and he has always protected her. Unfortunately despite the sparks that fly between the two of them he is adamant about protecting her from himself most of all. Jake needs to learn to take a risk when it comes to love if he wants to keep Paige in his life.

This is a very steamy and satisfying book and the chemistry between Jake and Paige is clearly evident from page one. Sleepless in Manhattan doesn’t disappoint.

Rated 5/5 stars on Goodreads.
