Sarah Morgan is a new author to me even though she has written many books! I have quickly come to love her stories and found Sleepless in Manhattan to be no exception. Paige is living the life she has dreamed about with two of her best friends and her brother in Manhattan. When she loses her job she needs to learn how to take risks in order to fulfill her dream of having her own business. When it comes to her brother’s best friend, the very sexy Jake, she learns she has to take another risk.

Jake distrusts love and he never spends more than a night or two with a woman. However there has always been something about Paige that he cannot forget and he has always protected her. Unfortunately despite the sparks that fly between the two of them he is adamant about protecting her from himself most of all. Jake needs to learn to take a risk when it comes to love if he wants to keep Paige in his life.

This is a very steamy and satisfying book and the chemistry between Jake and Paige is clearly evident from page one. Sleepless in Manhattan doesn’t disappoint.

Rated 5/5 stars on Goodreads.

Thanks to the editors for the opportunity to review the book!

This book was relateable in that the heroine; Paige loses her job and hates the idea of going to work for another boss she despises. So she sets out with the help of her long time crush to set up her own company. I have been forever been a fan of being my own boss as I'm sure a lot of America is so I was intrigued to read more. Paige and Jake soon find themselves in a tricky situation when they're stuck in an elevator together and so begins their first love scene. The ending was a bit corny...sappy...whatever, but overall Sleepless in Manhattan was a very good read. I really wasn't into the whole romance aspect of the book as I was the company start up. Is that bad for a romance novel??

I am in love with Paige's best friends who also help run the company so I'm hoping for their books if not already written. And I'm looking forward to reading Matilda's book which we had a glimpse of at the ending to Sleepless. But of course I didn't read it; I'll wait until I get the whole story...

I am choosing to give this book 4 out of 5 stars.

Characters: I really enjoyed the cast of characters in this story. I didn't realize that this was the first book in a trilogy (from what I gather each book is told by a different one of the three women) and when I did finally realize this I became more invested in the characters. I really enjoyed that the characters all shared a past together. Sarah made me very interested in the dark secrets of characters' pasts and I'm eager to learn about them in the following books. The characters seemed very complex and multi-dimensional.

Romance: I will say that at times the romance read like 50 Shades of Grey and I kept making connections between the two books. If the romance was supposed to be a surprise, it wasn't. If you were meant to know it would all come to a head then Sarah did a great job with that! I did feel as if what happened at the end of the book was rushed. I think the final outcome was realistic, but that it would have been better played out over a few more pages.

Setting: I absolutely loved the setting of NYC in this story. Sarah did a wonderful job immersing the reader in the setting and I was able to vividly picture all settings in this story. The setting will make for really great opportunities for the following two installments of the trilogy.

Overall Plot: Although I found some of the plot to be slow, I did get into the story. I would say after 130 pages I became invested in what was going on. Overall, I enjoyed this story and am very interested in reading the rest of the trilogy when it comes out.

** I received this book in exchange for an honest review**

«Para hacer realidad tu sueño primero tienes que despertar»

Creo que puedo describirlo con una sola palabra: optimista.

Fácil de leer y lleno de clichés, pero realmente lo disfruté. No se centra solo en el romance, sino también en la amistad, en cuidar a los que queremos y la valentía para tomar decisiones y trabajar por nuestros sueños.

I don't normally go for romance books but, I really enjoyed this. Loved the twist at the end and, the characters were really likeable. I will look out for future books in this series.

Really enjoyable characters and cute story. Sometimes it's nice to just escape in a book like this. It reminded me a bit of Nora Robert's bride quartet, which I enjoyed a few years ago. Predictable, but still passed the time nicely and sometimes it's nice to just read a book with a happy ending. I can definitely see where this series is going too, and it will be fun to follow along with it. Definitely falls in the romance category so if that isn't something you enjoy, then this book is not for you.

Thanks to Netgalley and HQN for the advance copy of this book.

Read this as the story is set in NYC. Enjoyed this chick-flick. Great characters, very lovable.

Looking forward to continuing on with the rest of the series.
