I loved that it was short and concise and well edited. I really enjoyed the relationship between the main characters.

This is definitely a story I’ll have to re-read to get the full effect of the story, but the devotion and love shared between the two main characters was beautiful in a gore-y fantastical way. I was also briefly surprised it didn’t end in cannibalism I feel my rating is low for how impressed I am, but I think its because I love a long story. I will have to indulge myself by simply re-reading and imagining the before continuation of the short story!!

Gory, so so gory. I’m happy to say though that I actually really enjoy Khaw’s writing style. I had heard it’s not for everyone but I like it. This book felt like a fever dream from start to finish, super dark and gory, I wouldn’t say scary though. Will read other books by them!
