I loved this book ... this witch. We should all have the love and devotion of a great mother witch.

All the stars. A richly-imagined and fully-immersive retelling of Norse mythology. Protagonist Angrboda is such a compelling mix of tender and fierce. I will anxiously await anything else that Genevieve Gornichec writes. Thanks to a couple of my librarian friends who put this on my radar.

Forget Marvel's Asgardian Gods, this story brings together the truer personas of the spiteful gods of mythology and the women demonized by the patriarchal telling of these tales. Ongreboda and Loki, a sorrowful love story, and the fate of their children worse.
