I started reading this book and thought ok, she´s dumb and elliot´s a dumb idiot in love. I really liked how the authors used the "then" and "now" to show us how their friendship evolved. It was kinda off putting how she had always waited for him and he kept kissing girls while telling her "its cause you´re far, otherwise it´d be you" like what? Also, why wait so long to talk? this could´ve been solved if 18 year old macy and elliot just talked about it when it happened, although the main reason was her fathers incident and how she related that to the elliot incident, which BTW was clearly SA and not cheating, even if the book makes it seem like the latter (which is why im giving it 4 stars). Cried when i read that part, ngl. Overall the story´s cute and we love elliot but if i were him i would have tried harder to tell macy what truly happened (since he googled her and all) and not just settle with her ghosting me, which was also kinda immature of Macy.
