The story keeps getting better here. So many unexpected things. I'm on the edge of my seat as I follow Paige through her quest and fight against Scion. I like that Samantha writes with authenticity and realistically around Paige's abilities, resolve, and strength. All the ups and downs make this series so exciting.

The third book in the Bone Season saga is another excellent entry in the series. Paige is Underqueen and has to fight to lead the Mime Order in the face of Scion’s development of the Senshields and further incursion into new territory. The book is a combination of heart stopping action, political intrigue, and heartbreaking love story.   Wonderfully done.

Damn. Samantha Shannon went and did it again. I can't believe that a series I started reading because someone lent it to me when I ran out of books on a camping trip has utterly captivated me so much, and I otherwise never heard of it. The magic system, the world building, the plot, the character development, it's just all so good and so well done. Probably going to go home and start the fourth one immediately. Fifth one better be coming soon.
