Another slow start but strong finish in this series! It took me a while to get through the first 150 pages but once I got through those, the second half of the story flew by. Continuing to build on the last ones, I enjoy how Shannon writes her villains, how she continues to add to the worldbuilding with each book and how she writes her protagonists, showing their imperfections as well as their strengths. Looking forward to starting the next one soon!

This segment definitely moved, although the twists were less inspired overall. I still enjoyed it for the characters I have grown to love, but wish the plot tropes had been replaced with something a bit more imaginative.
