This book just really drives home that I cannot believe she decided to take her next series back in time and not DEAL WITH WHAT IS GOING ON.
This has likely been the best book of extra tales set in the Shadowhunter world so far! It follows characters across generations, and I completely fell for Anna Lightwood and that little scene about her (that I was then super excited to read more of her later), and also about the Circle (but I wasn't much interested about that), and then about the Blackthorns (super interested again, but also sad) and Kit (you're seriously missing out if you haven't read this one). Also, it gives a glimpse of what happens after QoAaD so one thing's for sure: Cassandra Clare will write more books set after that!!

Some of the stories were better than the others, but it was an overall great book! I fell absolutely in love with Anna Lightwood, her story was probably the one I enjoyed most of all. Also, reading about Kit and Ty missing each other hurt... a lot. Lastly, it was lovely to have a book about Jem (who is one of my favourite TSC characters) and his story between the other series’s.
I am going to rate all the novellas individually so...
