#1 Son of the Dawn: What a joy it is, to read about Jace again! Doesn’t add anything of significance to the plot but it was fun to read, all the same. 4⭐️
#2 Cast long shadows: Cassandra Clare WHY do you have to hurt me like that????? Matthew Fairchild has my heart and I just want to give the poor boy a hug. God knows, he needs one. Alastair Carstairs can burn in hell, as far as I’m concerned. The ending of Chain Of Gold made me feel some pity for him but all of that has vanished since reading this. Devil’s spawn.
Great edition to The Last Hours series. It gives context and answers some of the questions I had while reading Chain of Gold. A worthwhile read but it hurt my heart. Cassandra Clare does conflicting, tortured characters like no other. 5⭐️
#3 Every Exquisite Thing: Made me love Anna even more. I have so much respect for Gabriel and Cecily - parents of the year. Anna is a badass, stereotype-breaking, lesbian icon. I fricken love her! 5⭐️

*Llevaba 2 páginas y ya estaba llorando porque Matthew le dijo "Uncle Jem" a Jem.
*Exijo un final feliz para Matthew en TLH, el es un rayito de sol que no merece cargar con el sufrimiento que tiene en su espalda.
*Esa parte final con Will... me mató. De verdad de verdad una puñalada en mi corazoncito.

*Céline siempre fue un personaje que nunca pude comprender por lo poco que sabíamos de ella, así que me gustó conocerla y creo esta historia era necesaria para entenderla.
*Creí que Céline no me iba a agradar nada, pero en realidad sentí algo de simpatía hacia ella.
*También fue interesante conocer a Rosemary.
*Y tener escenas con pov de Tessa... la extrañaba.

*Jace de chiquito hermoso bebé siendo tan Jace, y Alec e Isabelle.
*Es lindo pensar que fue Jem quien le mostró a Jace que la idea de un parabatai no era tan mala como él pensaba.
*Y Lily con los apodos para Jem... Brother Sixpackariah, no puedo jajajajaj.
The Land I Lost
*Esta fue muy larga pero probablemente mi favorita.
*Max y Magnus son todo lo que está bien en el mundo, y Max queriendo ser un shadowhunter como su papá y su tío Jace es lo más tierno del universo.
*Y Rafe que era tímido con todos, pero conectó casi inmediatamente con Alec, y como Alec cambia a modo papá automáticamente cuando está con él, y como Rafe queda hipnotizado por Magnus desde el principio.
*Y nuevamente Lily... Jem-nasium, the Come-And-Stare family, no podía parar de reir, realmente Lily era un personaje que me daba igual, pero en esta historia y la anterior... la AMÉ con locura y pasión.

*Super triste la situación con Kit y sus papás, pero lo peor es que me preocupé aun más por Kit, todavía tiene que sobrevivir otros 3 libros.
*Y Tessa... ya sabía yo que no iba a morir, pero aún así me asusté, y lo del embarazo, también es algo que ya sabía, pero fui super feliz al leerlo, cuando le dice a Jem y Jem tan feliz. Tessa de verdad una reina, uno de mis personajes favoritos en esta saga, tan fuerte y amable y a pesar de todo lo que a pasado sigue abriéndose al amor.

*Kit y Ty, Kit y Ty, Kit y Ty, si con casi interacción que hubo aquí me estoy muriendo, no se que va a ser de mi en TWP de verdad me va a dar algo
*Y Livvy, me siento mal por ella, siento que ese asunto fantasmal me va a hacer sufrir mucho y no veo cómo puede terminar bien.
*Pero los había extrañado, sobre todo a Ty, fue genial volver a leer a mi bebé, había olvidado lo mucho que lo amo.
Forever Fallen
*Clary y Jace ya son felices, tuvieron su propia serie de 6 libros donde casi mueren más de una vez (si no es que de plano se murieron y revivieron como Jace) y personalmente creo que merecen ser felices, no otros 3 libros donde de nuevo alguien trata de matar a Jace, mi bebé merece un descanso.
*Por otro lado Jem y Tessa y Kit y Mina, me encantó la dinámica de ellos juntos.
*Para TWP solo espero que no se muera ninguno de los personajes que ya sobrevivieron su propia serie de libros, y no tengo idea de cómo vaya a ser la cosa, pero sin duda se ve complicado y peligroso. Yo solo quiero que mis bebés estén a salvo y sean felices.

This is an amazing anthology centering on Jem while also being a must-read addition to the Shadowhunter World of Cassandra Clare.
These stories are full of heart and sometimes, heartbreak. But love shines through.
Not to leave out the ending that is what carries this story onward. It ends happily enough but overshadowed by potential evil that I do not yet know how this edge will carry on.
And so, I will gladly continue on my journey through the Shadowhunter World with great expectations and perhaps, a little fear of what may come.
This is an amazing anthology centering on Jem while also being a must-read addition to the Shadowhunter World of Cassandra Clare.

this book had so many stories with so many emotions but the one thing i have to say is how much i love jem tessa kit and mina.

4, maybe a 4.5. I was actually very impressed with this collection of short stories. I initially started it a year ago, actually... and I just couldn't get into it. But last week I picked it back up and read the whole thing over the course of a couple days. Once I realized how the stories were connected, I was much more invested--and I think I also naturally enjoy the stories about the modern day characters more than the 19th century ones (maybe it was something about the writing for that time period, which sometimes seemed overdone/stiff). It was also difficult to remember some things from the main series, but at the end of the day I understood the stories and quite enjoyed them. There were moments of foreshadowing that just hit so deeply (the Robert Lightwood scene, anyone?). And it's always nostalgic to reunite with the characters from the books. There were also some lovely lines and turns of phrase in there that I had to mark. Overall, it was just an enjoyable read. One thing I did notice was how repetitive the authors could get, though, describing Jem's continuous, and continuous, and continuous love for Tessa.. sometimes it was annoying. But I enjoyed reading it, even if it's maybe not the most literary of books, so I'll rate it highly. And that moment at the end--as if to summon wicked powers--WOW. I absolutely cannot wait for TWP because I know those books will destroy me.
