okay but Jem and Tessa being Kit's parents and having Mina (who I can already tell has a bright future) and church I literally stan so hard


also I'm worried about scary jace and ash... I would not be surprised if they turned out to be the villains of the wicked powers

As always, Cassandra Clare continues to amaze-along with the other wonderful authors of this delightful anthology. I loved the opportunity to spend me time with Jem or Brother Snackariah along with some other characters I love and one that I know little about but that I am already falling in love with. This book was sad, funny, beautiful, and romantic. The ending made me anxious and eager in almost equal measure. (Spoiler Alert: Dark Jace/Janus) Despite my anxiety, I did love the glances of “domestic” life of our Mortal Instruments gang peppered throughout the anthology. (Another mini spoiler: young Jace, Alec, and Izzy) Another highlight of the anthology is the sections dealing with Kit and Ty who I am eager to see grow in The Wicked Powers.

P.S. Lily Chen is absolutely amazing, and she is now being added to my list of favorite characters in The Shadowhunter Chronicles, which is admittedly a very long list.
