Didn't keep my interest

If you enjoy a good suspense or mystery title, then this one may be a great read. While entertaining, there is a lot of back story in the novel.

Fast-paced suspenseful page-turner on the subject of terrorism. Provides some food for thought as in there is always more than one way to look at a situation. Who is the real bad guy? Some rather stark violence; implied sex. Characters could have been a bit more emotionally depicted; the novel "says" the characters are distraught over killing people, but does not exactly make you feel that.

Looking forward to reading this series from the beginning; I read Moscow Rules and was transfixed. I enjoy the author's prose

I liked this book a lot but was disappointed by the ending. I liked Gabriel Allon the badass assassin stalking his prey. I didn't care for the nihilist Gabriel Allon moping about evil in the world and regrets about his past.
