I feeling generally indifferent about this book.
The plot took a while to build, therefore leaving all the suspense and the thriller aspects behind. I found myself waiting for the climax at every page turn, for a climax that never really came.
I’m also indifferent about the multiple perspectives, it was okay but it could’ve been okay without it as well.
I do have to admit that I thoroughly enjoyed the ending though, that is what saved the book from an overwhelming sense of “meh”.
I do still recommend that if you are interested in the synopsis to give it a try though, other people do seem to enjoy it ❤️ Keep your eyes peeled for this beauty that will be hitting the shelves near you on July 2nd!

Like most mystery/suspense novels, I think it’s best to go into them blindly. If you’re looking for a passionate, angsty story, with a sexual appetite, you’ve come to the right place. I was starting to get Black Swan vibes in the beginning, but then there were some dark twists and I wasn’t sure where this slow building drama was headed, but Temper gets the applause from me!

WOW this one was a wild ride. The two main characters are an actress and the half-owner of the theatre that's just cast the actress in a play. Between the two of them is the lead actor who... I mean... okay, I don't want to spoil anyone but WOW that guy's a dick. The end came out of NOWHERE and I nearly came unglued. Layne Fargo is a brilliant author and is officially an auto-buy for me.

This book is a little slow. It's a deliberate choice, but I didn't personally like it.
The relations were weird. Everyone is sleeping with everyone's ex from 10 years ago. It read like it was written by a person who've never met people in an open relationship before. It was odd and not fun to read.
