Great book! I got ACOTAR vibes from it fs. I do feel like the plot is kind of predictable but I don’t mind a predictable story. Definitely going to read the next book in the series.

I couldn’t put this book down! The sweet romance between Kaida and Tarrin that bloomed was everything… the suspense with Eklos kept me on my toes and I had to know what happened next! So many unexpected twists! I can’t wait to start to second book!

Some challenges seemed to easily overcome. Characters made choices that had me so frustrated knowing the outcome would be predictable and repetitive. Seemed like a fun unique world, just needs to be flushed out more along with the storyline.

I enjoyed it but it made me giggle that all the dragons walk on two feet the whole time

This one is such a hard one to write because I love this book. I love how it’s written; the way it flows and the introduction of new information. I love the characters and the premise of this book, a new take on dragons. There’s such heart in this story. I had wondered why Kaida was so…broken, why her timid nature around Eklos hadn’t already evolved into hatred, but Belharnt explains that. I’m hoping that the other questions (problems?) I had with the ending are answered in the next book because I most definitely will be reading the next one!! I can’t wait!!
