This book contains 7 short stories. With a collection like this, you are prone to have favorites. 'Drive my car' (1) was my absolute favorite: a fascinating conversation arises about love and fidelity and the female driver, Misaki, intrigued me. Would really recommend reading this one. Five stars! ;)
After that the stories in this book got stranger and less warm towards the end of this book. The other stories I enjoyed: 'An independent organ' (3) was heartbreaking, about what falling in love can do to a person. 'Yesterday' (2) and 'Kino' (5) were good food for thought: how people can run away from their feelings.
The remaining three short stories of this book, "Sheherezade' (4), 'Samsa in love' (6) and 'Men without Women' (7), didn't really grip me. I think I connected less with main characters and it lacked some layers or warmth for me personally.
