Me tomó mucho tiempo volver a retomar esta lectura, pero alfin pude terminarla. Creo que el problema que tuve con este libro, fue que me gustó pero no pudo superar las expectativas que tenía. Esperaba un libro más duro y no tan predecible, a pesar de esto, me gustaron los personajes y las distintas relaciones que había entre ellos.

I love the way Ruta Sepetys writes. She writes in such a way that I can feel like I know her characters and am surrounded by her settings. This is another phenomenal book and solidifies my love of Ruta Sepetys.

The story captured me and I caught myself reading late into the night. The characters were loveable and at times I cried along with them and felt their struggles. I look toward to reading more by Rita Sepetys.

Loved it Fast read, liked the setting and time period, couldn’t help but root for Josie and really most of the characters. A bit predictable in some parts but overall really enjoyed

This was a great read for me , I have been to NOLA many times and such a great city. The descriptions make me want to go back.
