I am finding that historical fiction is slowly becoming one of my favorite genres to read. This book and the characters captured my heart. There aren't any major "WOW" action or dramatic tear out your heartstrings moments but if you love books where the story line is built around the characters you love then this book is for you. I also found it wildly interesting to get a glimpse in to the world of living in New Orleans in the 1950's.

The characters of this book were wonderful, as was the setting. The plot just doesn’t seem too memorable. A few days after finishing, I couldn’t remember how it ended.

Josie deserves the world. I enjoyed every bit of this book.

"Last name might be a good idea, but don't change Josie." He said
"No?"
"Nope.... I like the way it feels when I say it."

STOP IT RIGHT NOW!!!!

This was the show "Harlots" in book form and as much as I enjoyed "Harlots" is as much as I enjoyed this book!

I have to admit that this book did not do it for me...It was interesting, well written but the plot or characters did not do it for me.
