finally granted her freedom, Kim finds herself in need of a mate to keep the male predators off of her alloted farm land. as it turns out, the worst predator that she's afraid of is really just trying to court her with his kind's rituals, oblivious to how his actions may look in a human's eyes.
this book is fucking hilarious. like SO funny. it's also cute and sweet and the way the characters handle each other's trauma is perfect. the learning curve is real and they definitely struggle in their relationship of convince turned real feelings, but that just makes it feel all the more real.

I was tempted to just make this a short review and just say “meeeooow” because of all the cat stuff.
Still short, but more than a cat pun. I like how they bond over their past and all. It’s cute and steamy and a fun read.

I probably would have given a higher rating except for the epilogue, which was just a day in the life of parents, cleaning and making breakfast, sex interrupted by a kid, snuggling a kid covered in pee which I found unnecessary.
