So sweet. I enjoyed this book and I just cant believe how prolific the author is. She already cranks out books fast and I get everyone. I really appreciated this book during the quarantine. I like that the couple was older. I love the cubs. I so loved Bethia!!! I’d love to get her story!!

As always, Ruby Dixon didn’t disappoint. This was a sweet story set within the same universe as the novella “When she’s married” which I loved.
I’m glad Ruby decided to expand that world because it does make for an interesting concept.
This book was exactly what I needed considering I’m not really in a heavy reading mood. It’s light- ish (there’s mention of past abuse for both characters but nothing on page). The romantic angle is done really well, the characters are very likeable and it’s steamy. A winner in my book.

Great beginning, got a little boring towards the end

This starts off really bonkers when a lot woman hires a bounty hunter to kidnap her a husband to protect her from her creepy neighbor and the bounty hunter brings her the neighbor... yikes. But it then shifts to a sweet romance between two survivors of slavery. The hero is a a cat man, a former gladiator turned farmer, and he prefers to do his weapons training in the nude. The heroine is a human on a shitty farm who writes smut for her friends and is trying to figure out her new life.
