It's a perfect monster/alien smutty story. They way these two communicated and were patient with each other had me swooning.

I loved this so much. Kim is hilariously naive and all Nassakth wants is to protect her. What he learns though is that you cannot bubble wrap your mate and hide her away from anything that might upset her, you have to treat her as an equal and fight beside her and not fight her battles for her.
DNF. May come back to this later. It is just too slow moving and long. I think it worked better as a daily serial (which I waited to read it as a book), but as a full length book, it is too drawn out. 26% and no chemistry or much has happened.
2.5 stars. The beginning was pretty fun. And I love marriage of convenience stuff. However, it got very annoying to me at the end with Kim basically convincing herself that he wasn’t going to choose her. Her reasoning didn’t make sense, and she went on too long explaining her nonsense. I just remembered another part that annoyed me when her mate kept lying to her under the guise of protecting her - that initial conversation was so annoying.
