I liked this book! Started off a little bit slow and I wish it had ended with more information, but I liked how it was written, the perspectives from multiple characters, and how everything tied together. The author used great descriptions that had me create an image in my head with everything she said.
An amazing depiction of family and love and loss. Great job. Give it a few chapters and you’ll be hooked.

Page turner. I burned through this faster than I have many shorter novels. In addition to the plot twists and turns the book explores interesting ideas, political and moral and personal. Ng's omniscient narrator sees through the eyes of many characters without the pivots being distracting.
