Not a huge fan, it was kind of cute though.

Pretty freaking sweet.

It's making me want to reread Hopeless Savages and I have no idea why but I think that's what I'm going to do. Can't wait to read the next one(s) because I want to see him defeat seven evil exboyfriends and I want some explanation about this subspace highway. Also, I want to name something Knives right now.

Was a lot better than I expected. I loved the movie for it's creativeness but didn't really care for any of the characters. I wanted to read the comics but thought I wouldn't enjoy them much as I don't like slackers and I'm not into "slice of life" stories, but I was pleasantly surprised at the humour of the book and characters, who seemed to be more relate-able than how they were portrayed in the movie.

Really funny and pretty good artwork. I was thoroughly entertained.

tl;dr Scott Pilgrim is 23 and in a band that sux and sort of dating a 16-year old. But then he starts dreaming about Ramona Flowers and whelp there goes everything.
I like seeing more Knives and Kim than were featured in the movie. I like the quirky characters and storyline and all the things /swoon.

Age: 7th grade-12th grade
Art: Japanese manga-esque (set in Canada, doncha know)

O'Malley has an excellent way with the dialects of our generation. Scott Pilgrim is full of sarcasm, fake arrogance, and--ohmigod what's happening?! Why is he? I don't even? You know what, I'm going to go along with this because it's hilarious and this fight scene is turning out to be pretty amazing.

P.S. The movie is an exact replica of the comic.

This book is a true testament to what happens when you just do it. Just make art, it doesn’t have to be perfect, this novel isn’t, but it’s fun, smart, and fresh. I strive to create like O’Malley does, and this book along with series shows me it’s possible.

A lot of people seem to really like this book, but unfortunately it was just meh for me. I guess some books you just don’t vibe with you for whatever reason.

pretty funny
