I could never really get into the movie of Scott Pilgrim, but I did enjoy the animated series (probably because Scott wasn’t there the entire time ((yes, i’m aware that the point is that he was in the wrong. Doesn’t make it any funner to see.))) The comics also seem okay but it’s just starting, I might have stronger opinions on it as it goes on. I do really enjoy the art

yuh. the movie is like exact huh. entering my male manipulator era let’s go. i love wallace.
While I did chuckle here and there, ultimately I did not enjoy the story. The artistry is quite lovely and I do appreciate O'Malley's talents there, but the plot and especially the dialogue was flat and left me unconvinced. I am 100% done with the notion that being a coercive, obsessive stalker garners the positive attention of females. Stop writing stories like that.
A delight to read in color + all the extra notes in the back make the experience even better!!
[reread] These are just fun. I really enjoy the movie so I’m a little biased, but... yeah. I enjoy how clever yet silly it is. I plan on finishing all the volumes this month.

Anyways, nothing really stuck out to me in this first volume, a lot of the characters are pretty annoying (Except for Wallace and Ramona to a degree) and it wasn’t really all that interesting. I did really like the development of Scott and Ramona’s relationship and their dialogue though!!
I know the series gets better because I’ve already read the whole thing, but I never really cared to revisit this volume. It bothers me that people are hating on the art though. Like Fight me right now
