I love a good "not a step-dad, but the dad who stepped up" type of book. Kellon knew what he wanted immediately and we love that!! Him calling her Phileigh Cheese was so cute and in my mind
their son's nickname is Cheese and he's going to grow up and become a lineman. Imagine hearing "ANOTHER SACK BY BIG CHEESE" 😭
Anyway Blossom said we go together now and I can't agree more!

Sports romance combined with matching personality traits. I so enjoyed this read. I found myself smiling often. And cheering for a happy ending.

It’s still step-daddy season apparently and I’m not mad at it. This was a nice quick read. The premise of the book ensures that there will be some mess and drama BUT it felt very low tension (until about 80%-ish in). Despite there being parental conflict, issues concerning grief, & mess surrounding her BD, I felt like everything resolved very quickly and neatly. The author stated this was supposed to be a novella and with how neatly and quickly conflicts were resolved it read that way. But I enjoyed Kellon and Phileigh as a couple. She was about her business, and he was about her…from day 1. We always love to see it.
