I had a great time with this sports romance. Kellon Barnes was a man. He didn’t know what he needed until he ran across Phileigh at his team Super Bowl After Party. The love was genuine between the two was genuine and he made it his mission to protect her at all costs. — We love a good step daddy trope!
Reggie was trifling and deserved everything he received.

Meh.
Started off great, had my attention until about 60% and then I lost interest. Felt like the story was trying too many different plots in less than 300 pages.
So the quick fixes of complicated family drama, made the resolution too fictional. Which really undermined all that good writing in the beginning.
Also- saying the baby had the dimples of a man, who is not his biological father is a choice. Like the FMC stresses the paternity of this child throughout the book. So reading that line took me out… like ma’am… how?! Why?
That’s when I knew this story had gone off the deep end.
