I Džoš zaista jeste takav, plačljiv, željan ljubavi i uspeha, trenutno nesrećan, dokon.

Glava - uradimo to, pismo - preskočimo.

There were some really good and funny writing moments that I really liked (banter 4 days around here and I always really appreciate a huge cast), but was lukewarm about it for the most part.

I listened to the audiobook version of this book by accident, I have to say that I bought it by impulse because I found out that on the UK version it was read by the one and only Jonathan Bailey… so I bought it and it was an amazing surprise, this book was funny, romantic, hopeful, definitely a fresh romance contemporary book and I’m glad I found it and listened to it. I really really enjoyed it ✨

Really flat characterization.

I loved this book. What an absolute joy to read.

I thought the premise of this book was fun, but I found all of the characters to be unlikable. Sometimes this is the case in the beginning of a book and as the characters develop they grow on you, but not this time.

I received an ARC from NetGalley. The book will be released on November 17, 2020.

Josh's new year doesn't get off to the best of starts. Turned down by his girlfriend when he proposes on the London Eye on New Year's Eve, he loses his relationship, his job and his flat in less time than it take for the wheel to rotate (cue one very awkward private capsule). Deciding that he can't be trusted to make decisions anymore, Josh decides to leave this year to chance - making every decision with the flip of a coin. Can fate help him find a new job, a home that isn't with his parents, and a relationship that isn't ruined by missing wallets or unwanted dinner guests? More importantly, can it help him #FindSunflowerGirl?

The Flip Side is a fun, heartwarming read with a cute romance and a great hook.

There are more awkward, laugh-out-loud moments than I could possibly count, making this an entertaining read from beginning to end. There's also romance, heartbreak and trips to European bookshops, as well as plenty of appearances from Van Gough's Sunflowers (which I now kind of want to see all five public versions of... I think this book may prove more expensive than its RRP!)

I loved Josh's friends, Jake and Jessie, their quiz nights (this novel is also full of a lot of interesting facts), and Josh's wonderful (and incredibly embarrassing) family.

The Flip Side is a reminder that life is short, and that sometimes you have to trust your instincts and take a plunge into the unknown - even if that does mean spending all of your money searching across Europe for a girl you don't even know the name of!

I was provided with an advanced copy of The Flip Side to review.

Josh proposes to his girlfriend on New Years Eve on the London Eye, so far so romantic, it’s not....she says no - cue 29 excruciating minutes as the Eye finishes its journey. His life in tatters, Josh decides that all the decisions he makes will rely on the flip of a coin. Is this possible? Will he stick to it? Can his life get better and more to the point will he find the one?

This was a perfect uplifting start to my 2021. I devoured this in 2 sittings rather than sticking to the bookclub plan...sorry but not sorry! It is sweet and funny with relatable characters, everyone knows a Josh, Jessie and Jake and that there’s always a quiz team you can’t beat. We’ve all met Josh’s mum
