It's been awhile since if read GGGTM. But I think I liked that better than this second part. It's still pretty good though. In some way I thought the plot twist wasn't properly prepared. In another way that made it more interesting and unforseeable. Honestly not much action is happening until the last third of the book but it's not boring though. The aftermath was quite interesting but I felt like it doesn't need a part 3. The ending is a little open but in my opinion it's in away that keeps the imagination running and still isn't like the plot hasn't ended.
I had a good time with this book. Let's see what the final part brings.

I don’t care how inept a police department is, they’re not going to sit around and let an 18 year old girl and her high school friends traipse through potential crime scenes, create search parties, and investigate a possible missing person/murder. It’s wildly unbelievable and yet, somehow, you forget all of that and just pay attention to the fact that Pip has an uncanny way of reading the clues to solve big puzzles no one else can.

This was a decent follow-up to A Good Girls Guide to Murder. I appreciated the podcast aspect of the story, feeling that it was realistic and unique. That being said, it was a bit more difficult for me to buy into this story because it uses most of the same characters with a similar plot line.

How could the police ignore Pippa for a second time after she only just recently solve the 5-year-old mystery murder case for their town? I can't seem to imagine the town would die down and let her solve this next mystery on her own without some sort of media attention.

With that being said, I still enjoyed this audiobook and had a fun time reading through it and trying to solve what happened.

I am torn if I will continue on to book 3 or let my curiosity die here and pick up other Holly Jackson books.

As soon as I finished the first book in this series, I put books 2 and 3 on hold at the library. Book 2 did NOT disappoint, and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. The mystery was intriguing and was satisfyingly solved, in addition to wrapping up a loose end from book 1. There are some odd British-isms, like in the first book, despite being set in Connecticut, but everything else was so compelling I let that slide. Can't wait to read the final book in the trilogy!

Excellent sequel to A Good Girl's guide to murder. Extremely gripping, I burned through the audiobook in only a few days, finding every moment to find out what happened.
I liked the new angle with a live case now and we get to see the reaction of the family as well as the way the podcast episodes affect them. Again, it wasn't the biggest twist of all time and I was able to work out most of it before the reveal. Although I did think that
it was a little bit too obvious to have the new neighbours as the killers. You knew they had to have something to do with the case otherwise why had they been included?

This edition of the audiobook (because I belive there is another) was very well done with effects put in that really added to the story. However I am tempted to recommend you read this in print as there were several images in the story that were mentioned but that obviously I couldn't see. Also there is one section where a witness uses a voice modulator and it was completely impossible to tell what he was saying. Luckily it wasn't too crucial but it was kind of annoying
Looking forward to the 3rd book!
