Holy Spicy tamale. Marriage of convenience with a sexy hockey dad who borders on needing anger management and a sweet-faced mom who has a chronic illness and needs health insurance. Mutual beneficial arrangement leads to said sweet-faced mom getting downright filthy with her kinks.
This book is only slightly unhinged, yet also full of heart. Both Jack and Mara have been burned before and Jack wears armor around his heart swearing he won't fall in in love again. Let's see how that works out.
The author does a great job of peeling back the layers to Jack and underneath his hard exterior is a big softie who will go to the end of the earth for his people. I do think he could use some counseling.
Mara has a lot of health issues that kind of fell off to the side at the end of the book and I got a bit of whiplash with the characters rash decisions in the last 10%.
Overall, I enjoy this series and these characters and would recommend to all the spicy readers.

Super hot and tatted hockey dad who is DEVOTED to his kids? Say less. Jack is a single dad with a horrid ex wife (hate her) and Mara is a newly single mom just trying to take care of herself while being a good mom. I thought that the way they met was very organic and the way things developed felt natural. There is nothing worse than forced chemistry.
Dani's representation of hEDS was respectful and real, not only is it important for people to be seen but for those on the outside to learn not to judge a book by the cover -- you just never know what people are going through on a day to day. Okay the dedication of this book had me immediately SOLD, but then on the very next page is descriptions of chronic illnesses that our FMC had, and girllll ME TOO. it felt like me reading this book was kismet at this moment of my life. And the author mentioned she went through lengths to make sure everything she wrote about it would transfer correctly, and it did. I don’t think she had anything to worry about with that, it felt so healing to read through Mara’s POV.

Wow! This was so good!! I really, really enjoyed this one more than I initially anticipated! I felt like this was a really unique story, with both MC's being single parents, and I really enjoyed the way the story unfolded and how these two came together! I loved Mara and how open she was with Jack and her health and struggles! And Jack was such an incredible MMC!! His strength and confidence for Mara and her kids was so beautiful to see! The way he was so seamlessly willing to step up and protect them was so swoony! And getting to see them both grow in their own confidences and their own strengths paired with their feelings and emotions together in the bedroom was so wonderfully written and so amazing to watch! I really loved this story, and I really loved the side characters we got throughout!! I can't wait for more from this world from Dani!! 4.75 stars; 4.25 chili peppers

I have never in my life found a book that has a main character with the same alphabet disorders that I do, and for that we were already starting off with the bar real high. Honestly, there wasn’t much here that made me upset either aside from Jack really not havvving to get traded at the end once everything settled with Bryce but it is what it is. Also this is the only book I’ve read of the series so I may have missed some of the interconnected stuff. But otherwise, it was cute and I liked it, which was what I wanted at the time.
