muy buen libro me perdi un par de veces, porq estoy acostumbrada a dejar de prestar atencion cuando leo y seguir entendiendo, cosa q con el doble no se me hizo posible.
la forma en q introdujo a el doble y el final wow... no se me puede ocurrir mejor forma de hacerlo, siendo que el lector ya sabe que se va a presentar un doble, no te decepciona!

very dark and an interesting look into mankind. the multiple hallucinations Golyadkin experiences seem very raw and graphic. I see this largely as an interpretation into the so-called 'diseased' mind and the consequences of becoming mad and thereby losing one's self. perhaps however he is being cleansed of the dark side of his soul, as this becomes into another physical being, but manifests into something dangerous. thus perhaps this is a cleansing act, not one of complete madness. the strong allusions present to Descartes regarding realism and how Golyadkin questions what is real and what isn't, as well as dives into the depths of metaphysics to create a constant uncertainty whether this double is real, or is an imagined subject, solely in the existence of the protagonist.

أنا في حيرة من أمري الآن، لا أدري هل أحببت الرواية أم لا، هل استطعت أن ألمس ما أراد قوله بوضوح أم لا، ما شعوري تجاه الشخصية، لا أعرف شيئا!
حتى أنني لن أضع لها تقييما بعدد محدد من النجوم لأني ببساطة: لا أدري!
ربما تعليقي البسيط هو حول الحوار الداخلي في الرواية الذي وجدته أقرب للهذيان، يجعلني أقول في نفسي أحيانا "ما بال هذا المعتوه هكذا؟" و في أحيان أخرى أشفق عليه و على مصابه.
لا أدري إن كان تأثير الرواية فعلا هكذا يجعلك في حيرة من أمرك لا تدري شيئا أم أنني أحتاج لمزيد من الوقت لاستجماع أفكاري، المهم إن كان الأمر هو الحالة الثانية فستكون لي عودة هنا بالتأكيد.

While reading the book, I often pondered about the interesting way of self sabotage, that the protagonist is committing in about every scene. It is a tough read and I would recommend those, who are put of by overly confusing monologues, something entirely different, but the book still portrays a mad mind very well. Sometime through the book the discrepancy between the actions and thoughts of the character becomes so obvious, that I had to put it down and remind myself, that I'm dealing with a mad character, but like Dostojewski said the general theme was good, the execution not entirely. I still loved the book, but I can understand very well why his benefactors questioned their previous decision to become his benefactors.
