i was so excited to read this book because the premise sounded so interesting to me but the writinf style made it so hard for me to want to pick it up.. it feels like the author tries so hard to make a point, make us understand something. i liked how it’s not just a fiction but has commentary on stuff like womanhood, trans experiences, pregnancy etc but why would you try so hard.. so im soft dnfing it for now maybe pick it up again later

detransition + baby is accurate enough. I was really excited about this book in the first half (reimagined family structure, this awesome cis wasian woman, beautiful conversations about queerness between trans women, etc.) and then the second half absolutely banged, bruised, and beat me up. There's so much potential for growth but everyone stays messy, self-destructive, and generally bitter :/ great parenting traits lol

Ripped through this book! Pacing was stellar, and I really liked the balanced between the narratives of the three women.
