Beautiful cookbook with delicious recipes. This is the rare cookbook where I find myself wanting to cook everything in it, right away. Borrowed it from the library, but this is one I'll need to own.
I loved reading this cookbook. Hearing Deb talk about food and looking at her beautiful pictures was wonderful. However. The first recipe I tried to make myself was problematic. The directions were confusing and the ingredients were listed out of order. I'll try more, but I was a bit disappointed with the first one.
I've been reading Deb's blog since 2005. I love it and was so excited to find out she was writing a cookbook. It was every bit as charming and stunning as her blog. Well done!
Really disappointed in this book. I love the Smitten Kitchen blog and have many go-to recipes from it. Unfortunately, everything I've made from this book has either not turned out or been a mediocre result for way too much effort. I'll stick with my faves from the blog.

Great assortment of sweet and savory, simple and worth-the-extra-effort. Love Perelman's good Jewish girl mix of self-effacing humor and proud I could do this chutzpah.

Delightful and a good read. Will definitely cook from this. Wonderful photography. Her blog is great.
I've owned this book since it was first published in 2012 and I only just thought to write a review. Deb is an amazing food blogger! I've been following her food blog since the early days in late 2000's. Her recipes are incredibly well thought out, approachable, and easy to make. She's ensured that every recipe is going to work because she tests it and tests it again and again herself. I love that I can pick up this book try any recipe and just know that it will not fail. Her pie dough recipe in this book is one of my favorites and then I always try to make double of so that I can keep one in the freezer. The first time I made the galette I had probably five different friends asked me for the recipe.
Loved this book. The stories are just as intriguing as the recipes and the pictures. Can't wait to try the cheddar swirl breakfast buns and the fig, olive oil, and sea salt challah. I only hope when I make it it will look as good as the pictures.
