Once again I have been amazed. I may love books more than I should, but I seriously loved this book. There were parts that were hard because she does act like a princess. There were parts that were serious and I hope that things go well with the ending we received. Sometimes she was a little dramatic with her eliminations but I understand her not wanting a husband her wants only her body. There are honestly too many boys that I want to see her with in the end. I hope that she will break down her walls enough to love someone.

Honestly, this book wasn't as great as the other ones. I enjoyed the other ones more because they had more turn of events that kept me reading. Something about this book got me to keep reading and it was great to read the point of view of someone who has to be the selector. I really liked the ending which had a huge turn of events and I'm hoping that Eadlyn marries someone like Ean. Something about his personality intrigued me. If she does marry Kile, it wouldn't be the worst thing and that is probably whats going to happen.
I really wanted to hear more about America and Maxon from America's point of view but the sequel created was also really well written.

I hate that I have to give this 2 ⭐️s, but the beginning was just way too slow. For me, it didn’t pick up until more than halfway through the book and that last 100 pages was incredible!! I also thought Eadlyn was bratty and spoiled, but I did like her character development throughout the book. Hopefully the series ends on a happy note so fingers crossed

How do I explain this with out sounding mean, that's the question I kept asking myself. Honestly there's not really one straight answer for why I didn't consider continuing the series except for the fact that I got 122 pages in. That took me three months, I can finish an almost 800 page books in one day if I enjoy them.

It just shows how little interest I had in the series after the third book finished and the daughter became the main character. She was just to "oh, boo hoo me, I'll never fall in love and I don't like my parents alot or my siblings and I have no friends". Girl you ain't special, half the kigdoms in crisis and that's what you care about.

I personally enjoyed the writing of the first three books and flew through them and was so excited for the fourth and fifth. But was heavily disappointed 😞, not only by the characters but how the plot seemed un important and just like the same plot from the mother's story.

The book kind of reads like a wattpad novel, where the writter inserts themselves into the book and makes the character different from the 'other girls'. It's just a very average story from what I had read.

But the first three were very good and a super sweat fun and easy read that I could enjoy and fly through. But still had some drama and plot with out making the main chapters annoying and self centred, which is basically the fourth book.

Okay. My biggest beef with this whole series is the fact that the main plot is so unoriginal. It screams "The Bachelor," while paralleling the plot of "The Hunger Games." I will say that the author is a great writer and has well developed characters. I'd read more of her books gladly, only I'd hold my breath waiting to see if the book was truly original.

Wow! Not that is what I call a journey. Sure, Eadlyn was a brat in the beginning, but she really started to warm up to me and I ended up liking her a little. Just a little. But I still want to punch her!
