This book was very interesting. I would not categorize it as a thriller more so suspense. I was expecting more thrill from the climax and ending. Definitely glad I read it. I really enjoyed the concept and plot. It was well written and had me wondering if something like this could or is happening

I thought the book moved slowly in the beginning. However, the suspense really picked up in the last 150 pages. The ending leaves room for a sequel! I would recommend to friends.

I'll be honest, I read this book for the premise. I am a premise person. This idea COMPLETELY intrigued me. The writing is not great. He frequently over states things that have already been established. But the story was so good! There were quite a few sex scenes I felt were completely useless and didn't fit with the context of the story. That being said I was enthralled to the very last page.

My brother recommended this to me years ago. Idk why it took me so long to actually read it but I finally did! This easily could have been a 5 star read if it wasn’t for the ending. But other than that I have nothing bad to say about this book.

This one had me asking myself if I was a bad person lol cause while the “villains” in this story are clear, they did make some good points. And also reading this as a black woman framed my interpretation differently than the author. I’m not gonna lie: the main character scrapping his entire escape plan and risking his black wife’s life for the life of a white girl he had just met rubbed me the wrong way. Thankfully in the end it worked out lol.
