I- that was just... i need the brightest night NOW

Read it! So so good. It was intriguing and intricate. I didn’t want to put it down.
I love Luc. Always have since he was originally introduced. My heart breaks for him. It kills me that Evie forgot that she was Nadia and can’t remember anything from them. Zoe is a great character and Greyson needs to get that stick out of his ass. Poor Kent.
Side note, so so happy that Daemon and Kat are having a baby. That is just so cute.
I knew I never liked Sylvia Dasher. To be fair anything to do with the Dashers should be avoided. Like seriously why couldn’t Jason Dasher just do the world a favour and remain dead? I really wish Luc had of destroyed all of Daedalus. It would have saved everyone a lot of heartache. But seriously I wish Sylvia was still alive so I could watch Luc kill her after realising that Evie was still Nadia and had all her memories after the serum worked. I’m sorry she may have tried to save her but that does not cancel out all the cruel things that she has done, starting with taking Nadia away from Luc so they could try play God.
I really need the next book. Cannot wait for it.

I love JLA books, she is always taking her characters to the next level, but this time Luc and Peaches are on a league of it's own. This second book was perfect I can't wait for the next one. Tje audiobook was simply extraordinary.

Man, so many revelations in this book. I absolutely loved this one! I mean the first book was great, but this was amazing. I loved watching evie sift through all the things she learned from the first book and I felt so much for her. Her entire life was a lie and finding that out couldn't have been easy. Some of the things I expected, especially the ending to this book, but that made me excited for the next one. I always love a good villian. I've always loved luc but I feel like I came to understand him more in this book. Hes arrogant yes and that's something I adore, but I think more than anything ira a facade he hides behind, especially when hes scared. Also, could not help loving seeing all the characters I'd loved in the lux series as well. They popped up one after another, bringing me had to another year when I'd read them. Cant wait to see what the next book holds.

This freaking book, okay?! Just when I think JLA can't surprise me anymore, I'm wrong. So unbelievably wrong.

Finding out more about Evie's past, and Luc's past with her is my favorite thing. Luc was always so mysterious in Kat and Daemon's story (also: Kat and Daemon and friends are back in this and I'm living for it), so learning more about his life soothes my inquisitive soul.

The twists and turns and shocks make me sweat. It's like watching a murder mystery movie, except with a little less murder. Not much less, but a little. And we usually know who did the murdering (*cough*Luc*cough*) so that part isn't so mysterious. But Luc sure is. Damn him and his shady past, bad (read as: amazingly hilarious) pick-up lines, and goofy shirts! Which is what everyone else is thinking about him too, just so you know.

Evie coming into her own is great. I love that she's learning more about her past and becoming more self-aware. She deserves to know all the things and the fact that she won't let anyone give her shit is very helpful in that. She's figuring things out...oh, the things she figures out.

While there is a slight cliffhanger here, it's not so much that you can't hang on until the next book. Unless you're in the spoiler group on FB and seeing all the teasers...that's making it much harder. But, the ending of the book--not too bad! JLA knows how to end with just enough of a cliffhanger to make you want to come back, but not so much that she's leaving you off in the middle of a very important sentence with very important information. That would be rude. She is not rude. She is nice and not major cliffhangery...she is not Satan. Be thankful for this, people.

luc can step one me

A whirlwind of a second book. There is so much happening here, a lot is discovered about Evvie and what’s going on in the world. I am enjoying Evvie and Luc’s story, but I also appreciate the return of Daeman, Kat and the gang and the blending of their new lives with what’s going on.

This series is so so good. I definitely prefer it to obsidian, which is saying something. Luc is just, he is melt worthy. No one loves like Luc loves. I thought Daemon was top tier but Luc is something else. So so good.
