The start of this book was annoying because there was very little plot and nothing much was going on with the characters. This changed quickly with the second half of the book. I loved where the story was going and everything we learned about Evie. Once again, I loved Luc even though he didn't do much in this one. I am excited to see what happens to Evie in the next book.

The second in the Origin series builds more character development for Evie and continues to make you fall for Luc more and more. I felt this book had a lot more action than book 1 or 3 and had my nerves on edge often awaiting to see what would happen next. Overall, this is a highly recommend for YA readers. (Note: I read the Origin series prior to reading the Lux series and while it technically can be read this way without confusion, I would not recommend doing so. See my review on The Darkest Star for more information).
I had some issues getting into the first book in this series, but this sequel was truly amazing. I could not put this book down! It was so much fun being able to go back into the LUX series world and see all of my favorite characters again! I really cannot wait to see what JLA does with the rest of this series!

I must have been on crack to give this book 4 stars the last time. I mean, seriously???? It must have been the fact that I didn’t remember a good chunk from the first book because this book was fabulous.
Now, October can hurry up so I can have the third.
These books are so goddamn addicting. They are literal mind candy. My only complaint was that it was a slower read than its first book, but boy howdy when that twist came along, I was flipping through pages like no one’s business.
Luc and Evie are perfect together and I really enjoyed seeing their relationship progress and how they really support one another.
Now that cliffhanger was cruel. I need the next book. Like now.

This book was pure perfection! Ms. Jennifer L. Armentrout is a genius and I am FLOORED with her amazing writing, fast-moving plot, twists and turns, lovable characters, and MORE. I felt so much while reading this book - love, surprise, anxiety, happiness, etc. Luc and Evie's relationship is so precious and the reveals in this book are done so well that I could not help but put my book down a couple of times while reading. It was a wonderful journey peeling back the layers to the secrets and plot twists that this book had and I cannot wait to read the next book! I LOVE all the characters, especially Luc. I love that there were scenes with characters from the Lux Series (my babies) and I felt so satisfied knowing that they were all living their HEA. Please read this book! It is soooo good! :)

One of those classic dystopian books about a group of unlikely teens. What could be better
Alright. Not a fan of this CLIFFHANGER. I really don't know where the hell this is going.
